Overview of countries with EU-recognised GHG calculations for raw material cultivation

The European Commission has positively assessed the applications for recognition of the calculation of typical greenhouse gas emissions from the cultivation of agricultural commodities (for the purposes of Article 31(2) to (4) of Directive (EU) 2018/2001) of the following countries, thus making them usable:

  • Belgium – Wallonia
  • Latvia
  • Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom

The NUTS2 values for various types of biomasses from EU countries have already been officially recognised by implementing decision

  • Austria
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Germany
  • Hungary
  • Lithuania
  • Slovakia
  • Sweden

Furthermore, typical GHG emission values for rapeseed (canola) from the following third countries are available:

  • Canada
  • Australia
  • Argentina
